The residents of Merit's premier master-planned community in Elk Grove, Stonelake Master Association, donated more than 1,000 cans of food to the local food bank.
"We were truly thankful for the generous outpouring of donations," said Scott Hubbard, Merit Property Management Community Manager. "It was a team effort between the Stonelake Master Association Board of Directors, Merit's staff and the community residents to help the greater Elk Grove community."
Each month the Elk Grove Food Bank distributes emergency food to more than 2,100 people, including children, disabled, seniors, working poor, people living with HIV and the homeless throughout Elk Grove and the surrounding counties.
Merit has managed Stonelake for over three years. Stonelake is Elk Grove's premier master-planned community offering 1,467 single-family homes and a variety of amenities including a clubhouse, pool, children's karate, yoga as well as dance and zumba classes.
