East Bay, CA, November 4, 2011 — Merit Property Management, a FirstService Residential Management company, announces today the hiring of Rick Barnard as Business Unit Leader for the East Bay region. As Merit's East Bay Business Unit Leader, Rick Barnard oversees 20 homeowners and commercial associations throughout the region.
In his new role, Barnard is now responsible for Merit's business development, operations, client retention and developer relations. Barnard also plays an integral role in the recruiting and hiring of Merit staff members in his region.
Barnard previously worked as the high-rise division executive director for Wentworth Property Management where he oversaw 18 high-rise properties in the New Jersey Gold Coast, the New Jersey Shore and the New York City Soho regions. While on the East Coast, Barnard served on CAI's New Jersey Manager Committee in 2010 and 2011.
