Orange County, CA, August 9, 2011 — Merit Property Management, a FirstService Residential Management company, announced today that Orange County Regional Manager Bree Douglas and Community Manager Jennifer Medja were presented with Vision Awards by the California Association of Community Managers (CACM) for excellence in their field. The Vision Award ceremony was held on July 28th, 2011 at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, CA.
Merit Regional Manager Bree Douglas received the "Physical Management Level II" award for assisting Foothill Ranch Maintenance Corporation, a community of 2,793 units, after it was hit with severe rains of up to 14 inches. After dozens of homes had been threatened with mud and erosion, she spent the holidays coordinating geologists, landscapers, OCFA, local police, the association's legal counsel and board members to assist with the cleanup of the community.
Merit Community Manager Jennifer Medja received the "Rookie of the Year" award for her excellent work as a new community manager demonstrating hard work and dedication to service. Her first year achievements included overhauling a parking permit system, navigating through a complex insurance claim along with acquiring her CACM certification in less than six months.
