MERIT Property Management Promotes Gregg Evangelho, CCAM®, to Business Unit Leader, Los Angeles Urban Division - 11/4/2010

Evangelho leads business development for Los Angeles high-rise /mid-rise communities and mixed-use developments

Los Angeles, CA, April 29, 2010 — MERIT Property Management, a leading provider of professional high-rise, mid-rise and mixed-use community associations and rental management services, promoted Gregg Evangelho, CCAM®, to Business Unit Leader, Los Angeles Urban Division. Evangelho now oversees daily operations in MERIT’s newest regional office in Downtown Los Angeles and business development for high-rise, mid-rise and mixed-use urban developments in the area.  He is responsible for MERIT’s current community association management  clients and will now coordinate and manage new contracts, maintain client relations and spearhead MERIT’s continued growth throughout Los Angeles’ high-rise, mid-rise and mixed-use urban communities.

Evangelho will be a keynote speaker at MERIT’s upcoming event, ‘Tastings and Trends’ on Monday, May 10 at the JW Marriott Hotel at L.A. LIVE. The complimentary evening will feature wine tasting and hors d’ oeuvres from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm followed by an interactive panel of experts discussing the resurgence of downtown LA living. Topics include trends in buying, selling and renting in today’s LA market, the risks and benefits presented with condo conversions, partial constructed buildings and distressed properties, current occupancy levels and how they affecting the market, challenges in the urban environment and preserving property values. He joined MERIT over seven years ago and was previously the general manager for a large multi-governance high-rise in Long Beach, CA with over 550 units, three associations, public parking operation, a Community Service Organization (CSO) and a public park.  While in that role, Evangelho had complete oversight of the three homeowners associations, which included all regular maintenance and operations as well as coordination with city officials, the CSO and parking garage operator to ensure their obligations to the community were met.

Evangelho received his designation as a Certified California Association Manager (CCAM®) from the California Association of Community Managers. He graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He is a strong supporter and believer in the Trevor Project and AIDS LifeCycle (ALC).
